i wrote a bit at the bottom :). gonna make you check out the pics before reading :). slow down when you hit the field pics. just saying.
let me just start by saying i stalked this girl a bit on instagram after meeting her at a wedding earlier this year. you could pick her out of a crowd with her incredible style. i remember thinking oh gosh i hope that girl is a senior. i found out she WAS, and crossed my fingers hoping she and her mom would hire me. i’m going to gush a bit more and probably embarrass her… shelby is an artist and a dreamer, inside and out. from her outfits to the way she walks and moves, and oh holy cow… the dresses she makes out of paper. which by the way are seriously insanely gorgeous. i knew i’d be able to capture a bit of her magic if she trusted me enough. that was the key. and she did :). i loved being able to create true IMAGERY during her shoot, especially towards the end. you’ll see. she had me at 1930’s-1940’s dress. yes please! enough gushing already -on to the pictures ;) and just in case future posts aren’t this gush-y, it doesn’t mean i didn’t love the person i was photographing, it just means that on this particular shoot, i connected fully. we photographers have moment and dreams swimming around in our heads and when they come to life, it’s INCREDIBLE.
that is all.
thank you for letting me play.
